I've been to Altus many times. My daughter and son-in-law lived there because he was in the Air Force. My first granddaughter was born there. That was an exciting time. Drove straight through from Ohio many times with my husband because I couldn't wait to see them again!

Hi Lori and welcome from Midwest City. It is quite amazing how many Okies we have on the Board. I look forward to my evening reading of the Forum.

Since it has been so hot I have not been in Lawton for a couple of months. Yes, I go to JoAnn's and have for the past 14 years. I think I have kept them in business because every time I go I expect to have to take out a loan to pay for all the fabric I find. After I retired I started to quilt just to see if I could ( a seamtress I am not). I am self taught from TV quilting shows, books. etc. I don't belong to a quilt guild, but know I would learn a lot. I can't seem to find a place to schedule it in. The Quilting Board is a great place for info...the members have a lot of information to share.
