I just found this board and love it. I live near Houston and at the moment not working. I drive a truck, own a Harley, 2 Boston Terriers and a cat. Oh yea, 2 Tennessee Walkers and 2 Paso Fino horses. BTW anybody want to buy a horse? LOL

Welcome from Southern California. My yard's not big enough for a horse, my 3 labs take up the whole yard!!!

Hi Toni and welcome from southern Indiana! (I would love to buy a horse but I don't think it would fit in my house....)

Hi Toni and welcome to the board. Glad to have you with us.

No horse for me either.

Welcome from NE CA. Glad you joined us. I had a Walker, bought her when she was 7, had had 7 owners. I had to put her down in '05, she either got kicked or fell and hit her head on a rock. She was 31. The new vet(for her) said he'd never seen a horse that age look that good. We have 4 now. I wish I could get one, but my husband would shoot me.LOL

Sure he must be thinking about the old Harleys. Other than changing oil, tires, and putting on chrome goodies we haven't worked on them at all. I have an 02 Softail classic, DH 07 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. No problems with either! Now about the horses, I just don't understand why you gals can't help me out  Your vet was right about the age of your Walker. They don't usually live that long! :D

Thanks Toni - I'll show him this when he's home - he was talking about getting some Yamaha or something - I say there's NO bike BUT a Harley! Gotta love that roar! :D

Howdy Tex -- I live in San Angelo, TX -- the middle of nowhere!!! Lucky you, have access to wonderful quilt shops and can get to the Quilt Festival w/o having to pawn your bike!!!

I have 2 dogs, a Lab that thinks he is a chiwawa and a "crazy cattle dog" that thinks the lab is a herding calf!!!

If I lived on some land, I would love a horse!!! I used to ride when I was a kid, but that was loooong time ago. I used to also ride a bike but after a crash, I tend to shy away from them. My husband has a Susuki that he enjoys.

We will have to share our adventures in quilting.

The Blue Bonnets in your picture sure are beautiful.

Welcom fellow Texan. I also live near Houston and have found some great little shops. Have you joined the Greater Houston Quilt Guild? They are a great group. Enjoy the site also. Lots of info.

Debra Mc 03-25-2009 01:20 PM

Thanks. My favorite wildflower. They are real nice in East Texas as we are getting rain.
