What a magnificent quilting forum, I am so glad that I have stumbled upon it. At this time, there is not that much I know about complicated quilting, however, I can put squares, borders, sashing and very simple binding on ..

Looking forward very much to making this forum a learning curve, and making friends from around the world as I progress.

Hello Tisha, thank you so much for the greeting. Oh dear, my quilting attempts are, well, kind of, um, well, er, mashy. I'm going to start again though, particularly since I have now found this wonderful forum. There are so many pictures of the incredible work the quilters have done, and it is inspiring me not go give up

I had better say goodnight for now, almost 9pm, and perhaps now go and look at some fabric in my sewing room. Back tomorrow, and thank you again Tisha, goodnight for now ... :D

You already know more than me! I haven't got a clue where to begin, but I've signed up for a course and am just waiting for it to begin next week.

Gidday all!
I am also from down under and a newby to the quilting arena. Just recently finished my first lap quilt. Really proud of myself as I haven't sewn since school days, which was a while ago. To be able to say that I made it is an amazing feeling. My children have asked for one now. Have a hobby machine but looking to buy a new one. Not sure what to get so any suggestions would be greatly appreciate. Don't want to spend thousands but would like a decent machine.
