Hello from Austria in Europe
Hi!
My name is Katjana and I am from Austria (close to Germany) near Vienna. I am 58 years old, have three "children", who are not children any more. There are three grandchildren and an old dog. I am retired and so I have more than enough time for a hobby. Since more than 20 years I wanted to start quilting. I think this is now the right time to begin... Kind regards Katjana |

Welcome from the middle of the USA - the state of Missouri. Just found out that my paternal grandfather was born in Austria (Galicia at the time). but he called himself Ukrainian and I believe that he spoke Polish. He came to the USA about 1910. I am trying to find out more about him and his family from the internet.

Welcome to the quilting community. I would love to see your country sometime but don't know if I will ever get there. There is so much help from the people on this site. Quilting I started 6 years ago and I love it. It helps me to forget about other things and usually is very relaxing. (unless I am frustrated with a problem). I hope you stay in touch with us.
