Hi, I am a 74 year old quilter that has only been quilting since 2000 and, boy, do the young friends I have produce beautiful quilts in a short amount of time. But I love what I am doing. Have been sewing probably 50 years. My daughter bugged me to start quilting and had to take me to a quilting class before I got hooked. Moved to northern Arkansas in 2005 and have many quilting "buddies" here. Here is a picture of the "chicken" quilt I finished in December 2009, started in January 2006. I made several quilts in the intervening years also. I won a blue ribbon on the quilt at the county fair.
I am also attaching a picture of our recent snow storm. Very unusual for us. Last year it was ice!
I look forward to getting to know all of you. This is the first message board I have ever belong to. Hope I do it right.

How do I get a picture posted on the left side of the board? Can't seem to find instructions for doing that.

ozarkmama 03-02-2010 06:54 AM

Thanks and I'm glad we don't have this much of the snow stuff every year. Hope this isn't going to be a trend.
