Hello from Belfast, Northern Ireland
I am 34 years and I have lived in Belfast all my life. I have an identical twin sister and 10 nieces and nephews.
I began crocheting when I was 17 and then did dressmaking and also taught myself to knit. I now teach others how to crochet and knit in my weekly craft club that I hold in my home. It's great passing the skill on and see the sense of accomplishment when a project is complete. Although I love all my crafts I wanted something different to do and I've always loved quilting just didn't think that I would be able to do it. I enrolled in a class in September in a local fabric store and I haven't looked back. I'm completely hooked now; thing this is my new addiction. I quilted a cushion cover first and have just finished my first cot quilt for my youngest nephew; I'm currently working on a cot quilt for my youngest niece. :) |

Welcome Paula, from New York State! My DGM (dear Grandmother) came from Mayo, Ireland. Cot quilt? Is that a quilt for a twin size bed? You will also benefit from tutorials on u-tube...Missouri Star Quilt Company has amazing videos. Here's one on half square triangles...useful for many different blocks!

Hello, I'm a twin from Aberdeen, Scotland, and I gave up counting the nieces and nephews but I do keep an eye on the number of great ones popping along. You will find the board incredibly helpful, I do, though I'm still bamboozled by a lot of the quilt speak.
