I'm in Kitimat, on the northwest coast. The forum seems like a nice place - I already feel welcome. I actually joined because I'm searching for a back issue of a magazine for which I've lost the pullout section. I started the quilt some time ago and am just getting back to sewing and quilting after suffering a stroke. The mind is till a bit 'wonky', but things are coming back slowly. I've read in the FAQ's that I shouldn't post a request as a newbie, but to wait a while, so I will do that. There's lots to read and look at here.
Thank you for the welcome.

Welcome from a fellow British Columbian. Glad to have the company.
I'm a teacher who hasn't yet reached that luxurious age of retirement. Although my quilting has stretched over the same number of years, my actual experience must be measured over a much smaller time - summer holidays!
Remember - pictures, pictures, pictures.

I havent' been to Kitimat, but lived in Pr. Rupert for 10 years. I think it took at least that many years to lose the webs between my toes after I moved!!!! LOL

Glad to have you on board.

DH and I go fishing every year in Kitimat - sometimes twice - sometimes more - for the salmon runs. We're just east of you along highway 16.

Let me know what magazine you're looking for, I have been recently gifted with a big box full of old quilting magazines.
