Hello all
I have already jumped into the cat room and posted pictures before I have introduced myself....sorry about that! Daisyboo here, new to quilting within the last year, but this thing is gonna be a long term love affair. My husband already complains that he is a quilting widower, I think its only fair since I am a hockey widow and these activities can happen simultaneously,....am I right ladies? Anyway I live up here in Canada (yes brrrrr.....) in a small farming community of south western ontario. Myself, my husband, two teenage kids and 3 dogs. Life is busy but I still have time to Quilt! this picture is of my first quilt sent out for longarm service....now I just have to bind it! |

Hello Daily!
Welcome. As a newbie myself, I can tell you that you will likely love it here ... everyone has been so friendly! Your quilt is terrific; you've done yourself proud! Whereabouts in Canada are you? I live in Michigan and we love to cross the border when we can because the landscape is beautiful and the people are so warm and friendly. As for being a "hockey widow", your DH will love to have your nice warm quilts to sleep under after a long night of watching his favorite hockey teams being victorious on the ice! Odessa |

Yay Canada. Welcome from the west coast. Maybe one day we will have enough Canadians on this site for Canadian exchanges.
Your quilt is gorgeous. I notice you say that it's your first quilt to the longarm quilters, not necessarily your first quilt. If it's your first quilt ever, an amazing job. We love quilt pictures here. |

Welcome, glad to know of other Canadian quilters. I Winnipeg, Manitoba where winter weather is a must see.. Well, unless you're into sewing/quilting and basement with no windows. Then it flies over until you head out to grocery shop and realized you are snowed in and the shovel is in the garage. All you prairie Canadians and North/south Dakota know what winter really means to us out here.
