Quiltingboard Forums - Hello from Central Texas!

Hi, everone. I'm Joy from Central Texas and boy, do I love to quilt! Unfortunately I have to work, which cuts into my quilting time, but helps support my habit. I've been married for 35 years, & have two grown daughters plus one son-in-law. I also love animals, especially cats. I have two housecats, Bitty & Willie, plus Ellie the dog outside, and a few barn cats as we live in the country.
I've been sewing since I was a small girl, but quilting for only the past 15 yrs or so. Mainly I'm a topper.....I love to make quilt tops, let someone else quilt them, and then I finish the binding. And then most of my quilts are given away, either to relatives or friends, or donated to fundraisers. I am a past-president of my local quilt guild, and every year serve on one committee or another, and attend quilting retreats whenever I can.
I think this is going to be a fun place to meet new people and get lots of new ideas.......like my head isn't full of quilt ideas already!
