Hi my name is Anna I'm finally ready to jump back into quilting its been a long time about 8 years but now I have a lot of time on my hands since my accident and I am getting really board with the computer need to see something real out of using my hands. Only problem is I don't have a quilt frame so I would ap prediate it if someone could post a basic patern for one on here since I can't work I need something inexpensive to build. My friend is very handy so he could use scrap lumber to construct it just need a plan for him to get started.
Thanks |
Hello and welcome from Ontario. I know that there very basic handquilting frames are made from 4 2X4's and some clamps, but there are lots of others people have made too. Good luck finding a plan for yours.

Thanks Also, if using one of these frames it is a good idea to use the quick grip clamps. The ones you just have to squeeze the handle and they tighten up. Lots quicker. Or you could find a PVC pipe frame at a estate/garage sale for $5 like I did. http://www.ehow.com/how_4883307_make...ilt-frame.html and here is a pic http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/Item...F-Q-SNAP-FRAME and here is a link back to our board about these; http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-969-1.htm Good luck! PS, I grew up not far from Darien Lake and went to the amusement park several times. Welcome from an old New Yorker! |
