Hi, there.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Good to know there's a few of us out there.

Yes, I am intending to go to the Quilt Expo. I will go on the Thursday or the Friday; don't know which yet. I will keep you posted (no pun intended). If other things allow, I might make it my business to go on the Friday. That would be fun.

Cheers for now.

Ahhhh I see Rainy Day responded to you. Hope you two can meet at the quilt show.
What part of Alaska did you go to.... and you drove down through Canada. Isant that a nice trip? I have been up and down that road 6 times to Fairbanks. Both my brother still live there and my mother for past almost 4 years.
Have cousins in Wascella and Anchorage. Most are in Fairbanks. Sound like you had a great trip. How long was you on the road?

Hello and welcome from Ontario

Hi, Di.

Thanks for the welcome.

You're right: it was the trip of a lifetime.

You have a fantastic country with so much to see. Americans do anything they can to make sure your trip is enjoyable. We have great memories of some incredible people as well.

I do hope you make it to the Land of Oz one day, and make sure I'm the first one that you contact when you get here.

Thanks again.

Hi there, Kiwi Quilter.

Thanks for making me welcome.

I have to confess to having a few NZ fabrics in my stash also. They, too, are treasures, and I haven't yet found anything I am prepared to cut them into - although I guess they are a little easier replaced than the Canadian and American pieces.

I have only been to the South Island of New Zealand and have to say that it is the most gorgeous place, totally chocolate box scenery, with the best white in the world, bar none.

Can't wait to go back there too. Can't figure out when I'm ever going to get time to make all these "treasures" into quilts.

Have you been to the Land of Oz? And do you have any aboriginal prints in your stash?

Thanks again.
