I've just finished my first quilt. A disappearing nine patch, king size with matching pillow shams. It's a wedding gift for my husband's God son and Nephew. I had it machine quilted, but did everything else. I've recently retired and have have gotten the quilting bug and loving it......

Hi and welcome from North Carolina! How brave you are... doing such a large quilt as a first project! Good for you! It took me 3 or 4 years to complete my 1st quilt and it was just a simple 4-patch and much smaller!
