Hello all.
I'm very new to quilting, so I'm creeping in. I've finished one very basic quilt (almost!), and threw together a school house block, but haven't done anything with it. I've always loved looking at quilts, but was scared to try. I never thought I could. I'm pleased to have found this forum - do you have members from anywhere other than the US? I'm planning on some sort of house quilt next, building up the block I've done - have you a thread somewhere on house quilts? It's lovely to find a dedicated quilting forum. |
We are from all over the world. There are some here from France, Australia, New Zealand, England, Iceland, just to name the ones I've seen. I believe there about 12,000 registered here. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!)
I'm from Iowa, welcome! :-D There is a wealth of information in all these minds. |
Oh you will love it here! So many wonderful and talented people. Ask any questions and they will certainly be answered. Welcome from the middle of the U. S.
Kearney, Nebraska! |
Thank you for a lovely hello. :)
I've lurked a little, but not yet seen any locations other than the US, so that's good to hear you have members from all over. I've only ever been on one forum, and that's fairly small, so I thought it was time I branched out. It's a bit scary coming onto such a big forum. :D |
I was lurkin and lookin but now I'm nosey and enjoying some really great people and making things I never thought possible.......enjoy this site. Ruth

Hi and welcome. Glad to have you with us.

Yes, we are from all over. Jordan, South Africa, Japan, and Guam are all represented here. Most of the states are covered, too.
It's a great place to hang out. |
We're so glad you joined! There's also a quilter in Japan and a couple in Norway, Scotland, Wales and Spain. Let's not forget our friend on "the pebble" as she likes to call it, in Guam.

How funny, I was born in Croydon! :-D I now live in another part of Surrey. Does your son post pics of his quilts on here? And presumably he could advise on Surrey quilting shops? What a small world it is. I've visited Ohio, but a long long time ago. A school friend moved back to Cincinnati (oops, I'm sure it's not spelt that way) when we were still at school. This was eons ago therefore and I've long since lost touch unfortunately. |
