Hi everyone out there. I'm Linda from Mt Sterling, Kentucky. I have been quilting for most of my life. I have been visiting the board here for awhile and have enjoyed reading and seeing everything about quilts. My quilting style is very simple blocks and stars, so I am hoping to learn to do scrappy quilts and maybe advance to a OBW someday. I am addicted to buying fabrics and now I know that there's nothing wrong with that. My dear hubby totally supports all my hobbies as do our many pets.

Hi all. I've been "lurking" and finally got the courage to say hello. I live in Anchorage, Alaska. Many, many years ago, before rotary cutters were invented, I tried quilting. I didn't care for cutting the fabric pieces with scissors but did enjoy hand quilting my small projects. Eventually I moved on to another hobby (counted cross-stitch). I took a class at my LQS in November of 2008. OMG, I'm hooked: love the fabrics, patterns, tools, sewing machines, threads,....you name, I've got to have it. Thank goodness my husband never asks me what's in the bag when I come home from shopping. Of course he would have a fit if he knew just how much I've spent on my new addiction. LOL BTW, I have a 9 year old son, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 big sweetie who lets me enjoy my hobby. Thanks for listening. Juli
