I live on Cumberland Island, GA., which is a barrier island w/no stores or bridges. I have only been quilting for about 6 years, since I took a break from working for now. I had an Interior Design business with a workroom for 15 years, so I'm an upholsterer/seamstress by trade. I also needlepoint and love to cook, garden,etc. Over the past year I have begun to really enjoy hand quilting, and hope to improve upon those skills. I use a lot of civil war fabrics, but LOVE IT ALL! (and have "some" of it all..... lol). I have 2 grown children, and am about to become a grandma for the first time this month! My husband is a retired lawyer. I look forward to learning and sharing with your group. Thank you for accepting me into your group. Sandra

How fun, to live on an island, and you have to boat to get there. Like the movie "The Proposal" where his family lived in Sitka Alaska, and took a boat to get there! Love to see photos of your island sometime!
