My name is PeggyAnn, I'm attempting to put a fan block together, and my sister suggested a "teton trail". She found her template for the fan blade and the handle but she doesn't have a template for the "background" part of the block. She said when she took a class a number of years ago that the "instructor" had made templates and that making of the templates were not a part of the class.
Would anyone be able to give me some advice on how to insert the fan into a background piece to complete a block? Many thanks, melopegann |

Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here. I just applique mine to the block.

My fan is on top of a background square and it is set in a corner, outside edges are stitched while joining blocks, and the curve of the fan is appliqued down.
