It's the name of the foothill mountains that are here in Boulder.....just west....as you head up into the Rocky Mtns. They're called "Flatirons" because they are like tall flat slabs (3 of them) and I guess someone years ago thought they resembled anvils( Hence the name flatirons).
It really is gorgeous living here!!!!
