Hello From Florida

I'm new to the group! Newly retired, I've been sewing all my life primarily garment sewing and machine embroidery but recently got the quilting bug.

Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone :)

When the quilting bug bites, it bites hard! :D Welcome to the board. This is the right place for encouragement & answers to any questions you might have about quilting/sewing. We love pictures here & want to see your first quilt. Have fun with your new found hobby.

Welcome from western NY and happy quilting :)

So happy to have you join us. Another on-line friend from Florida didn't start quilting until she was 70 but she pretty much went straight from garment construction to Judy Niemeyer projects and just does excellent work.

In comparison, I've been quilting for a lot of years and am really starting to slack off in terms of difficulty.

Hello from SE Michigan! The quilting bug can be an all encompassing addiction. It is wonderful and the highs are great! You may become a fabricaholic without warning. -:). Once hooked there will be no desire to turn away. You will never be able to wipe the smile off your face when seeing a quilt come together. This is the place to be when you are experiencing this urge. People around you will become envious of your joy and your skill from the first to the current quilt you might be working on. Glad to have you here. Jump right in.

Welcome from Alberta, Canada. I also just started quilting although I've been sewing for years. It sure can be fun! I've discovered that I can quilt in my sleep.... :)

You’re right the quilting bug bites hard! Still learning how to navigate my way around the board!

Wow — Judy Niemeyer projects are beautiful! I tend to make smaller quilt projects that I can incorporate my love for machine embroidery. I’m definitely happy to have found quilting board!
