I am fairly new to quilting. My new mother-in-law started teaching me how to quilt in May of 2008; but, unfortunately, she died in October of that same year. My husband and I really miss her:cry:, but we know she has no more pain and she can breathe easier (she had COPD). She did get me started in the Quilting Sisters Guild where I am still a member. I try to take advantage of most of the classes offered; but I still have so much to learn! I was very excited to learn about this site! I look forward to getting to know more quilters and learning more about quilting! :lol:

Hi.I live in Deltona Florida and I am also new to this.Sure wish you lived closer so we could get together and sew! I have a lot to learn.I did make a t shirt quilt in memory of my mom.I am 61 and I hope that I can meet up with someone that will attend a few classes in my area.Welcome aboard.I would prefer someone that is a beginner such as myself.It sure is a great hobby!!

I don't think Deltona's that far away. I don' have a car and my boyfriend has to take me everywhere! I sure hate having to be a burden on him like that!
