Hi, I found this board by accident while looking for a quilting store in Fleming Island, Florida. I am moving to Fleming Island in 2 weeks, and am hoping to find quilting lessons that are not too expensive for me and my 12 year old daughter. I took some hand piecing and quilting lessons from a community school about 11 years ago and absolutely loved it. I completed a top for a lap quilt, but never binded it. I haven't worked on it since. I am hoping to meet other quilters and to learn more and to fellowship. I would love to be in a quilting bee of sorts. Anyway, I know that some of you are from Northeast Florida and Fleming Island. I hope to be able to meet you all! And I am looking forward to "meeting" others on this board as well!

Hello and welcome from Trussville, AL (formerly Orange Park, FL). Hubby's job transferred us to AL last May. Calico Station is a quilt shop that offers quilting lessons. The attorneys, in Jacksonville, that I work for, kept me on and I work from home in AL. I have been going to Jax every 4-6 weeks, for a week at the time, to work out of the office and be there for trials, mediations, depositions or "whatever". This allows me to see my kids/grands that week, also. I won't be going this month as I just had knee surgery. Maybe one of my visits we could meet. Sandy
