Hello from Florida's Gulf Coast....
I'm a quilter, retired photographer and graphic artist who's just starting (after all these years) to do Bargello quilts. I find the flow, curves and colors exciting and want to learn how to do them well. I'm hoping to learn some good tips on the designs here.

Photographer/graphic artist you say? I may have to pick your brain the next time I want to change a photo into something to do a collage quilt from! Watson |
What fun to try a new medium for you. I have plans to do a couple of bargello projects in the next year or so but I haven't done any yet either -- I'm afraid once I get started I might find them a bit addicting. I have a really great wild coral reef fabric that I will use for backing and maybe borders and then pull the rest of the colors out of the print. My other idea is more just a thinking exercise, been thinking of a DNA quilt, done Bargello style to get that double helix sort of design. Would be nice if I could figure how to pull it off!
We do love pictures here, please post when you can :) |
