Hello from Gettysburg PA!
Actually, I'm about 15 minutes outside of that. Lol.
Anyway, Hello! My name is Johannah and I'm going to be celebrating my first year anniversary in September. I found this board through Google - I googled how many six inch squares does it take for a quilt? And BAM! This board popped up with all kinds of information! Yay!!! I'm on my way to making my 3rd quilt topper (I make the top part first then bring it to the store and Find a back part before stuffing it. I don't have a darning foot or one of those fancy quilting machines. Quilting is my first project - I haven't graduated to clothing yet... Lol. I will try to post pictures in the pictures thread soon! Happy quilting! |
Welcome from Maryland! My dd goes to Mt. St. Mary's so I am aware of your beautiful countryside. I'm in the central, blah area of Maryland, but closer proximity to many quilt shops. You will love this board and I'm looking forward to seeing your finished tops and quilts. ~ Pat

*** Hi! Y'all from the upstate of South Carolina. *** |
Welcome from Southern California. I had cousins who took me to visit Gettysburg when I was a teenager. They lived in Fairfield, PA. We all started out making a few quilts so don't hesitate to ask any questions you have. I hope this board inspires you like it does for me.

Mrs Johannah! Congratulations on your anniversary! What a great way to find the QB! Unlike you, I made halloween clothes for years, then made Easter dresses. A friend asked me if I quilted. I didn't then, but do now! Welcome from New York state! Enjoy the QB and all we have to offer and happy quilting!

Welcome from Winnipeg-Manitoba-Canada.. Have to start somewhere.. There are other sites such as Eleanor burns quilt in a day, and Missouri quilt star and connecting threads that all have you tube tutorials and forums.. I've been with them for long time.. Reliable sites..

Welcome from New Hampshire Johannah! Congratulations on your anniversary. The first year is all about establishing who gets the most closet space, who turns off the light at night, and so on. On behalf of women everywhere, make sure you hold your ground. I hope your quilting has started you on a lifelong love affair with sewing. It is such a gratifying and useful hobby. You'll enjoy being part of this board. It is a great place to be and the people are so helpful and nice. I look forward to hearing more from you. Sharon
