Hello group

Hello to all fellow enthusiasts. My name is Liz, I am Scottish, but meantime living in France. Hands across the sea bit. I started patchwork last September and now have the bug. My second project was a bargello quilt which now takes pride of place on my bed. Not 100% perfect but who is? I have seen another bargello quilt titled "long and winding road" so that is going to be my next baby if I can ever find the pattern for it.
It is 5.45pm here in France, hazy, humid and I am about to start making tonights meal.
Looking forward to seeing other posts
Thanks for letting me join

Welcome to the Board from the best state on the East Coast--Maryland;) . My maternal great grandmother hails from Scotland (Donnell). I'd love to visit both Scotland and France someday. Do you have a photo of your bargello on the bed? We love pictures here.

Hello Tartan, I think that a lot of Scots went to Canada. There was a time when sheep were more important to the landed gentry than people, but I might be a little bit political in that. Do you know whereabout in Scotland they came from? Thank you for the welcome.

Lizziebiff 07-31-2017 02:52 AM

Thanks for the welcome. Scots are well travelled. A lot of us must have been born on a Thursday (Thursdays child has far to go).

Yes QuiltnNan, I had a look at that post and was trying to find out if I could get the magazine it was in. It was back to 2004 I think but am having difficulties in tracing the book. But never say die, I am on a mission now. Thanks.

To all of you who have welcomed me to the group thank you very much. I will post a photo of my first bargello soon, along with my other W.I.P's

Hello from Ohio. I'd never heard of a bargello. I looked it up and it looks fun.
