Hey, y'all! I am new to the forum. My name is Shelly and I live in North Texas. I am a stay-at-home mom and a homeschooler. I am married with two wonderful children at home and one grown and on his own. My passion is quilting, embroidery and general sewing, but I'm on a quilting binge right now! I am a long time stitcher and have plenty of unfinished projects to prove it! I have been peeking in and reading all the wonderful hints and advice and finally decided to join in! I am looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome Esther! :)
It's good to hear that your son came home safely. I know that has to be a relief. And wasn't it great to be able to stay in touch with him without having to depend on snail mail? :)

It's wonderful that you've taken to quilting the way you have. It's been a God-send for me many times when life wasn't being fair. :) Feel free to share a picture of any work you've done. We just love to oooohhh and ahhhhhh and drool over each other's work. :D

mimisharon 08-21-2007 05:54 AM

Welcome to Esther and Kady,
Glad you ladies joined in here, too. We have a great group.

Esther, if you will PM me with your operating system (Windows 98, XP, whatever one) either Patrice or I should be able to help you learn to scan pictures. Also, what type scanner and have you downloaded the program for the scanner??

Patrice is the EXPERT but I've been using puters since I was 18 with a keypunch machine......now that's OLD! lol lol

My son is still in Iraq, I'm so thrilled that your son came home safely! Tell him we appreciate his taking time out of his life to help out the regulars! Big hugs!

Sharon
