Just wanted to drop in and say HI! My name is Susan and I live in southeast Idaho. We are STILL getting some snow, but hopefully spring is on it's way.

I love to read about what others are doing in the quilting world and add my 2 cents once in awhile.

I am married (37 years) I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. I LOVE quilting and knitting and designing new and fun things!

Welcome and Hafa Adai from Guam!

Welcome Susan! I believe I may have spent a day out your way! I spent some time in Idaho Falls and although I generally had to stay in my area, (I was a LDS missionary mostly at the IF Temple Visitor's Center), I got out every once in a while!

I almost consider myself part Idahoan having spent 2 years at Ricks College, BYU Idaho now, and the year and a half on a mission. 5 months of that was spent in American Falls.

The people I met in Idaho are some of the best I've ever known!!

all4quilt 04-22-2008 08:54 AM

Hi Celeste,

What years were you in Idaho? The Visitors center has been remodeled and is very beautiful! I don't know for sure when it was done, but within the last 3 years or so. Glad you introduced yourself. Where is it you make home now?

all4quilt 04-22-2008 08:55 AM

My son skis Mt Hood. He lives in Portland, so have been in your area! Thank you for the welcome!

Celeste 04-22-2008 02:00 PM

Well, I was there when they blew up the old hospital behind the temple.

Remodeled, huh? Wow, I wish I could see that!

My home is in the San Jose area in California.

Hi Susan, and welcome to the board. I've been through your area several times, and have friends from that area too. I laughed when you said that it was getting to be spring there. LOL I lived it WY for many years, and there were two seasons there: Winter and Road construction. It's great to have you aboard, and be sure to post your photos. I can't believe the inspiration I get from all you folks here. Sara

Hi Sara,
Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm not sure how to post pictures, yet.... But if you follow the link on my signature, you can see some of my work. I have more and will upload the pics there.

Funny you would say "winter and road construction". My DH is in WY a lot! He is the Safety director for the road construction company that is probably responsible for ONE of your seasons! LOL!!

all4quilt 04-23-2008 11:38 AM

Thank you from ALABAMA! I spent a lot of time there last year! My daugter and DH were at Fort Rucker for a year.

Welcome from Ohio. We finally got rid of the snow, but now we are getting the rain. At least it is warmer though. Can't wait till all of the flowers and trees are blooming with all of their beauty.

Would love to see pics of your work!
