Hello and welcome from Soddy Daisy, TN! May I ask what part of IL? I was raised in Rockford and Byron until about 6 years ago. I miss it terribly!

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
|
Hello from another Illinois girl. I'm just about 45 minutes from you. Are there any good quilt shops in Decatur?
|
I live in Decatur which is near Springfield. I grew up in Vincennes, Indiana which is in the southern part of the state.
|
There is a nice quilt shop in Mt. Zion, IL which is about 15 - 20 minutes away from Decatur. Arthur Illinois has a great quilt shop staffed by the Amish. There is also a country store in Arthur which has many bolts of fabric. The store doesn't use electricity, but you can take the fabric out into the light. Both stores in Arthur also carry embroidery materials.

welcome!

Hello from Schuyler County!!

Hey, I was raised in Moline too! Actually Coal Valley, but attended Moline Senior High a few years ago. OK, so 40+ years ago. Small world. So, until I got married and was whisked away to Ohio-I was/am an Illini at heart. Except for college football. ha
Welcome. Sandy |
Howdy from Tennessee. Glad you joined.

Moline HS was always a rival of UTHS!! I lived in either Moline or EM until I was 27 and then moved. I go back every year and have found two quilting buddies at my 40th class reunion. One of them I have known since kindergarten. I always have to have Adolph Tacos and Franks pizza. It's a must and if I can fit it in a Maid-Rite is also on the list. I go to the QC quilt meeting also. They are large enough to have a meeting in the afternoon and one in the evening- about 100 ladies each time. Good place to live.
