Hello, I'm new
Hello all! I am new to this board and wanted to introduce myself. I created (and finished) my first quilt just the other day (made out of my father-in-laws old shirts. He passed away unexpectedly in January and I made the quilt for my mother-in-law). I have thought about quilting for a while now and decided to peak around for support and inspiration. So far, all I'm learning is from Youtube and it will be nice to actually talk to people instead of watching videos. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome from Beautiful Arizona. I am just finishing up a quilt made from a man's shirt collection. The daughter made the quilt (never made a quilt before this one) and I sandwiched it and finished quilting it. Now to bind it...I know your mother-in-law is going to cherish the quilt you are making for her. Hope to see your work soon. Happy quilting.

Welcome from Indiana!
Look in your area for quilt guilds or activities they host. That's a great way to meet quilters in your area. Ask at the local libraries too. If you're close enough to the Wisconsin border, I'll be there are some there too. Good Luck and Have Fun! Nan |

Welcome from Maine. There are so many good links to 'how to' sites from here and, of course, if you have a problem and post a question you will find lots of people very willing to help you out. I joined a swop group and it was lots of fun so that might be something you could consider doing to get yourself really involved.
