Hello everyone

OMG this place is heaven. I never thought I could meet so many new people. Dear all, thank you very much. I will very soon list new recipes and will put a new link and will also put some of my work. I just want to mention one thing that I have never made a quilt. I only make dresses, scarves, bags and all. But I do a lot of patchwork things like patchwork bags, skirts and shawls. And I read on the internet that patchwork is quilting. Is it so or quilting is just making quilts. In fact a word quilting is not very common in India. I was once discussing with someone abroad about some cotton fabric and she asked me is this good for quilting. In India we never get any cotton which is quilting cotton. I am sorry for so many silly questions.

You came into chat the other night but were gone before I could say hi, so hi again. Quilting cotton is any medium weight pure cotton, but it is fun to use anything that ''fits" what you want to do. I have some organic cotton from India that i will be using in a quilt, and i have seen some stunning patchwork from India. Are you anywhere near Kerala?

Hi there

As I am new here so I was clicking on all the tabs to check what is there in each one of them. So clicked the live chat tab too.
But it's very hard to say what is medium, light or heavy. How do I know if something is medium or not?
I am from Mumbai.

Light is like a muslin, or a cheesecloth, medium is more like a T Shirt weight, and heavy is jeans/denim. Make any sense?
I am happy to send you some samples of quilting weight cotton to help you find the right stuff in India
