Potholders are great, and there is even a potholder exchange going on. You have to sign up by October 31st, so you still have plenty of time!!

Thanks. I also am pretty much self taught. I am doing a lot of free-motion quilting right now, but on small items. It is so much fun.

Do you live near a quilting store? That is a nice place to meet people of like interest and many hold quilting classes. I loved my Local Quilting Store (LQS) and miss that the most since I moved here. No one quilts in this country. But I do have the board and have met a lot of nice people here.

You could teach people there how to quilt- maybe start a class- they might be interested. You might not be as homesick.
