Hello from Kansas City, MO

Hello. I live in Kansas City, MO. I am looking to improve my skills. I do needlework and am in the embroidery guild of America. I also do knitting, but since my vacation I just don't want to. I enjoy quilting, well, the cutting and piecing part so much that I'll join the quilt guild in January. I've been in the embroidery guild for a few years.

I use a Viking Husquavarna machine. I'm thinking about getting a new one after the holidays. As for the quilting part, I'll leave that to the pros.

I've only made small projects, and the Wear Warm Clothes Quilt and now the Decadent Victorian quilt that i started in 2007, then my dad got sick, and was sick for a year, and passed in 2009.I never finished the quilt. After I went on vacation, to Eureka Springs, I came home wanting to finish the quilt. So i started on it. It's where I realized when a clerk says, "Are you sure you want only one? of a jelly roll, etc, you say, "Oh no, I need 2." So I'm scrambling to get extra yardage. It's done in ?Joel Dewberry Chestnut. So that's where I am in quilting. I love watercolor quilts, and would love to do something besides a wall hanging one day.I did find out last night that there's a quilt shop 5 minutes from my house...it used to just be a quilting machine shop...lucky me. I picked a good time to start quilting again.
