My name is Shelley and I was born and raised in Kansas. I live out in the country not far from Lawrence, KS. I haven't quilted in years, but have been getting the fever here lately and am very excited to be back into the quilter's world. I love this site and reading all of your news and seeing pics of your beautiful quilts. Most of the quilts I have made (mostly baby quilts and wall hangings) I have given away as gifts. Here are a few of the ones I have been able to keep, mainly because they are not fully complete yet! There's always a work in progress.

One is my handkerchief quilt I started, all of the hankies were given to me by friends and family.

Then there's a quilt I made from my brother-in-law's (Butch's) overall denim fabric. I made this in one night, on a Christmas Eve. It's one of my first quilts, I didn't even know how to do the binding yet so I just layered it, sewed it around and turned it right-side-out and stitched it up. Now that I think about that - it's just too funny! Butch has since passed away, so this is very special to my heart.

Looking forward to many happy quilt-making moments here with you all!

I made this quilt for my mom, I got it back when she passed away. My kitty loves it!
