Hi, joined the board yesterday and couldn't wait to get back to it today. I am a young quilter, 28 all my friends call it my grandma or old lady hobby :) I learned to sew in 4-H and have put those skills to work in my quilting. My first quilts were rag time flannel throws and then I finished a log cabin. I am hand quilting it and the goal is to have it done for my 50th Birthday. The navy and white Double Irish chain in my avatar was a wedding present to my college roommate.

Hi, welcome to our group! I am happy that quilting is now being enjoyed by folks of all ages! I am thinking you will have your quilt done waaaaay before your 50th, :lol: Be sure and post a picture for us to oooh and aaah over :D

Welcome aboard! I am also a young quilter at 23. I've been sewing since I was a child but only quilting for a couple years now. It sounds like you'll have plenty of time to reach your goal and we'd love to see it when you do get it done. That is a beautiful quilt in your avatar.
