I have just joined a beginnners quilt club -- The Glory Bees. I am very new at quilting and would like to know if anyone can suggest an easy pattern to use for an Army quilt for my grandson (16 years old). Any suggestions to mix in with the colors to brighten it up?
Thanks. Just love this site and glad I found it. |

Hello, welcome to the board from upstate New York.

Welcome from central Alabama.
I think the Chevron pattern from Quilter's Cache would be great in Army colors. It looks harder than it is. http://www.quilterscache.com/C/ChevronBlock.html |

Howdy and welcome from Pipe Creek, Texas!!! My favorite quilt to make for guys is a rag quilt. I like to use denim from family members on the back.

Thank you so much for this pattern. I really do like it with the combination of colors. I just hope I can match up those points -- but I will try!

grammy p,
Thank you for the website. I like that pattern. I am going to look for material as soon as I can get to the fabric shop. |

Shequilts,
Bet you were glad you were in GA this winter. It has been a long, snowy one here. My husband and son are big Wildcat fans. Guess yesterday, the game was a nail biter! Sorry, I am fairly new at this computer, too, and did not put the name on it. Please bear with me. |

Thanks, Andi for compliments.
Never was interested in quilting before. There are so many people in Ky who love quilting and I am getting the bug. Have family in Jacksonville, FL. I would love to spend a couple of months there in the winter. |
Welcome Ky, I was raised in Ky also.
