Hi,

My name is Gloria and I love longarm quilting and making quilts. Don't we all? I have been receiving and enjoying the newsletter for a very long time, but never joined the forum until today. I am so excited that I finally joined. This place is packed full of all kinds of great information. I have just recently purchased a 1915 Model 66 Singer "Redeye" Treadle that I have been refurbishing. I saw the tutorial on this forum and it is so helpful. To bad I had already finished mine before I found this one, but mine turned out really good. Can't wait to sew on it. Looking forward to learning from you all. :-D

Hello again,

Thanks to everyone for a very warm welcome. Seems like we have a lot of Kentuckians here. That's wonderful. I come from a nice (just the right size) town called Owensboro located in western, KY about 2 hours from Louisville, 2 hours from Nashville and 2 hours from Murray. Owensboro is right on the Ohio River and pretty close to Evansville, IN. Quilting is really big in this area. We have around 155 members in our guild and there are several more guilds in the area.

Gloria ~ Hi from Michigan.
Way to go on your 66 restoration! I have beautiful Singer RedEye & treadle cabinet I restored (among other vintage machines) as well. They sure are sweet decals aren't they?

Hi, from Ohio Co. KY! We are practically neighbors. Some of the ladies in our guild also belong to the Owensboro Guild. Jean Williams and Karen Gleim are a couple that I can think of off the top of my head. Nice to see someone so close on the board.

Welcome from Texas, but born in Louisville, Ky. My quilter friend and I go to a family reunion in Morgantown, and go shop hopping. Not a lot of shops around. We may head up that way next year (August).

Welcome from Middle Tennessee. A treadle machine sounds like so much fun to work on. I'm a hand quilter and love the thought of a treadle.
