Welcome from Southern CA which is going to get very HOT in a few days. I would look at MSQC u-tube videos.

It depends on what type of fabric you have: yardage or precuts. I made this quilt months ago and still haven't had the energy to get it quilted.

Welcome from Manitoba Canada.. Check out the free pattern section, and select from the beginner patterns. Decide if you want paper piecing, applique, traditional, or patchwork.. If I were to start all over again, I would spend more money and go to Fabric shop purchase a paper piecing baby quilt kit which lines are printed on batting simple instructions, and just sew on the lines.. Take a class for beginners, take in tuturials on you tube from Eleanor burns, Missouri quilt star company, or fat quarter shop all very good and easy.. Good luck! What may seem beginner to me, might be hard for another person, don't measure on others measure your progress..
