Hi! I have sewn clothes for years, ever since high school. Made my daughters prom dresses and even a wedding dress but am fairly new to quilting. I love it and have TUBS full of fabric! I have been called Hotrod for years cause I used to drive a little to fast at times. When my husband and I started riding motorcycles, the name really stuck. We have only lived in Missouri for a couple of years since his retirement but I love having all this extra free time to sew! I have a friend in Indiana who sews with me via telephone and sometimes web cam. It's lots of fun! Hope to make some new friends here online.

This is our puppy Bandit. He's not a puppy anymore tho. Yes, he likes to grab scraps out of my trash can. He's a real cutie. My husband is a dog lover so we have another puppy now. Her name is Ellie and she is a beagle. My friend in Indiana was teasing my husband and said we should name her Eleanor Burns; so she is Ellie! She likes to curl up in my sewing room when I'm sewing.

Hey, neighbor! Hello, and welcome from St. Louis! I know we are not next door neighbors, but I have fond memories of all the conventions I have attended at the Lake! I am a retired teacher and Tan-Tara was the favored place for conventions when I was still working. What a gorgeous area to retire to.
Love your quilting buddies. My big dog, Tundra, like to lay at my feet when I sew so I have to step over him to move! What a great help he is! :lol:

You guys all seem like a lot of fun! That's great! You should never get too old to play (in fabric at least!). My husband retired early on disability so technically I'm not old enuf to retire, I just quit working! Yes, Bandit lays under my sewing chair so I'm always rolling over him when I turn from the computer to the sewing machine. He's learning to dodge me tho.
