Hello from lancashire England

hello,
just stopping by to introduce myself
I live in Lancashire by the sea in the UK
my hubby gave me a lovely red Necchi 200 for Christmas
as I had said I wanted to get into quilting and applique
I made a couple of little chook shed primitive applique projects
about 13 years ago and want to make some more
plus I have a beautiful granddaughter now who is nearly 3 years old
I want to make a quilt and things for her
maybe I will get quite good and even make dresses
I dont think I would be able to use a machine if there wasnt such things
as automatic needle threaders!
but I am willing to give it a try
even though my eyes are not as good now:shock:

Welcome from Southern California! Sewing can be rather addictive, especially quilting. So many fun patterns out there are always calling our names.

Welcome from NE England. I’m sure your granddaughter will love anything you make for her!

Hi Tessynutty, you'll love it here. Great community feeling; always people willing to help.

There are simple dress patterns out there or just trace around a current basic dress, the fit on small children is very forgiving. Make small projects for her too; drawstring bags, book covers, dolls quilts, bunting, and she'll soon want to sew with you. My seven year old grandson comes for fortnightly lessons now and loves it.
