Hello from Manitoba
HI there, I'm new here and somewhat new to quilting.
I made a few quilts when I was younger, but they weren't that great. I pretended to know what I was doing and the quilts were functional and reasonably attractive. I'm currently taking a begginer quilting class at my local quilt shop. I'm piecing on a featherweight 221 and I plan to do most of the quilting on my Singer 27-4 that belonged to my great grandmother. I have been cleaning her up and my online searches for advice brought me here. Specifically to the vintage machine sub forum, so that's where I will be. Nice to meet you all! |
Welcome from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Normally it is warm here but today it is going down to 18 degrees. Need a quilt to keep warm. Hugs

Hi thrillhouse, welcome from south Georgia who is braced right now as I type this for the unusual event of ice, and later snow. I envy you already, for you mentioned two very fine machines that I'm longing to possess myself!Have fun with them, and l look forward to seeing your posts in the other forums/subs.

Here's another welcome from Ontario. We lived in Winnipeg for about 4 years back in the '70s. Coldest winters I ever experienced (and I am prairie born and bred) Hope you weren't affected by the pipeline explosion.
These are a great bunch of people and I know you will enjoy this site immensely. |
