Welcome to the Quilting Board Mimi, from a quilter in sunny Nevada. I know all about taking time off from quilting/sewing out of necessity due to career demands, and it may take you some time to "carve out" your quilting time in your new home. I take it you now have a sewing room, but are still getting organized. Give it time. It sounds as if you are in fact "hungry" to get back to quilting, and no where will you find more encouragement and support for that "hunger" than right here on this Quilting Board. We're a great bunch of people, very helpful and supportive, and eager to support other quilters. So welcome, welcome, welcome to our group. We sincerely hope you give us a chance, and even if you're short on quilting time, come to the Board and read the posts, jump in when you can, and you'll find yourself surprised by how those simple acts feed your quilting desires. It certainly did for me, and as I have read, has done the same for others. Don't you know? We're magical!

Cheers!

Mimi, welcome from Illinois and to the QB, you will find many many things here to see and do. Come often and it does become kinda addicting.

Thank you! And MacThayer you hit it exactly right. We actually moved 7 years ago, but it's taken me that long to get organized - at the time of the move we were expanding the business and moving into our first warehouse. Then the 2nd one, and now we're in the 3rd one and looking to move our retail store to another location as we run out of room. So it's all been a heck of a ride. And yes, I miss having time to sew, play with fabric and just hang out at the quilt shop (I'm lucky to have 3 here in Marietta alone), and being in a local guild etc. I know once I get back into the swing of things, I can at least carve out some time on Sundays or evenings.

This board seemed very nice and supportive and probably is what will help me the most right now since with a mostly internet-based business, I'm in front of the computer 25 hours per day it seems....

Mimi
