I have been sewing (clothes, etc.) for years but was leary about quilting. I think I was afraid to start a quilt project and not finish it. A year and half ago money was tight so I decided to make table runners for Christmas gifts. Boy did I get hooked. Since then I have made six large quilts and have enjoyed every minute. I finish a project and am already planning on the next project. I started reading this message board and decided to join. All of you seem to have such wonderful ideas and all seem to addicted to quilting like I am. Have a great day!!!

Welcome from Colorado!

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!! I can't believe that you wait until your project is finished before starting another. Most of us have several going at the same time in various stages or just UFO's. Maybe we need to go back to the basics and start one then finish it before moving on! You'll love it on this board, everyone is sew helpful and knowledgeable!

Hi Chip ~ Welcome to this message board! It is a great place to find inspiration and help. Also, a ton of fun. BTW, I'm from the CNY area ... every now and then we go to Potsdam to visit our son who is working in a post-doctorate position at Clarkson. I can't remember the name, but there is a really neat store in "downtown" Potsdam that carries a little bit of everything for crafters, including yarn and some fabric. Always fun to browse there.
