Hello from the Midwest!
Just wanted to pop in and say hello...I've been a lifelong fan of quilts and quilting, an have played with fabric off and on for most of my life before finally settling into it as a hobby again. I've been lurking for a while being inspired by everyone's work and decided it was time to take part in the discussions.
I mostly hand-piece and quilt; it works better with my current space and time limits. I do have an old electric sewing machine my grandmother gave me as a girl; it froze up many years ago and got plunked in a closet for repairs that never happened. I also succumbed to the temptation and recently bought a treadle machine that I am trying to restore so I can eventually measure project completion in weeks or months instead of years! Happy to meet everyone :) |
Welcome, you will find lots of help here.

Welcome from beautiful western NC. You will find great inspiration on this site. I have my mom's treadle machine, which I learned to sew on, but I haven't used it in many years.

Welcome from Indiana
There are many people on this board and tons of boards that talk about cleaning up and unfreezing an older machine. It can be done with the simple right tools and patience to let products do their job. Nan - Indiana |
