I found this site a couple weeks ago and have been reading past postings and viewing the beautiful quilts here.
I do believe this is the best message board I have ever visited. Everyone is so generous with their praise, time and even their stash!
I have been quilting since the '70s, but still learning...sometimes relearning. I like to make quilts that I can strip piece, but do cut and piece if I have to.
I haven't make a quilt for a while, but will try to post some pictures of some of my special quilts.

Thank you Darlene. Maybe we can meet sometime. I have done one small crazy quilt, several Christmas stockings and started making a sweatshirt jacket using crazy patches. That's one of my UFOs now.

Hi,I am from Misouri too! I am about 2 hours from Branson. I am guessing. I live Close to Clinton. We just don't have any material shops except Wal Mart. They don't have as much as the used to.

We went to a quilt show this weekend and mate a lady from Rockville Mo. She does quiltig and had some really interesting new rulers that they sell. I am not sure how far that is but thinking it may be about a 2 hour drive from me.

I haven't been on for so long.But I haven't been sewing either.Kind of in a slump too.

Pat

There is a quilt shop about 20 miles from me. Next closest is about another 50 miles or so.

Hello to all who have replied in the past week. wasn't ignoring you all, haven't been getting emails about replies to this.
Bopeep, I go to Poplar Bluff about every week.

Mo MiMi, I don't get to Springfield very often, but looks like there are several around the area, maybe we should organize a shopping/ lunch trip one of these days. Just let me know and I'll see if I can arrange to get there.

wigginsgirl, did you have a craft booth at the Arts & Crafts or just shopping? Did you stop in the see the Quilt show at the High School?

After the first of the year, maybe someone will organize a get together. I'm not good at organizing something like this, but would love to get together.

Vandee , I've always wanted to go to Mt Ida. Isn't that where they have the quarts crystal digs? Have a really pretty one from Mt. Ida that a friend gave to me.
