Hello from Missouri!
:) Hello! My name is Jacquie and I am from Missouri. I have been sewing/teaching myself to quilt for almost 3 years. I have been with my husband for 35 years, have 1 adult son with Autism, and have worked in Special Education for 22 years. I have stumbled upon the quilting board a few times, but being a newbie, I was not ready to join your board, but after 3 years, I now feel confident enough to join. I love doing Mystery Quilt a-longs, have completed Bonnie Hunter's last 2, and will post a picture of ORL in that thread. I am teaching myself to FMQ on my domestic machine, and truly love it! Thanks for letting me join!

Welcome from western NY and happy quilting :)

Wow! Free motion quilting? I haven't gotten the nerve to tackle that yet, though I hope to soon. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

If you have done the last 2 BH mystery quilts, you are officially no longer a novice. We do a kind of quilt along every year for the mystery, so join us next year!

Welcome from Southern California!

Welcome from Southern California! No matter skill level, you will always learn something new...or a better way to do things...or a new, more efficient/accurate tool to buy....the patterns alone are worth spending time with these people. Very creative bunch of quilters here...

Hi Jacquie welcome from NE Ohio.

Thank you and it is nice to become a member. I still feel like a newbie, LOL! Will get pictures posted this week of last yrs and this yrs BH MQ's a couple others I have done. Am currently working on a pineapple quilt for my son. He saw some of my fabric and wanted a new quilt (although I just finished a beautiful 9 patch about 3 months ago), when he saw the fabric, he wanted a quilt made with it. It'a a beautiful multicolor material by Studio E, which was to be my focal fabric. He even picked the colors to use with it and they all go so well together! But not caring about the pattern, I got to pick the pineapple block and it's going beautifully! I will post pics of it too, as I think I am going to need advice on how to quilt it. Any suggestions?

Hi Jacquie and welcome! Sounds like you already have a great start in quilting. I'd enjoy seeing pictures of your Quiltville mystery quilts. :)

Welcome--another Missourian here! :)

Mariposa, I have them both posted on the respective threads now. Still to be quilted, but that will be a great summer project. Hello fellow Missourian's! It is awesome to meet ya'll. Not having anyone to quilt with, I feel like I have joined my own guild! ;)
Jokir44, is that your grandson in your avitar picture with you? |
