I just joined and wanted to say 'Hello" to everyone. I have been quilting for 40 years. I piece scrap quilts and make machine embroidered crib/lap quilts. I also make quilts for Project Linus with my leftover scraps. I have a 180E Bernina, and a 150QE Bernina. The quilts I make for my grandchildren and family (everyone gets a baby quilt) I send out to a longarm quilter. Project Linus quilts I put a walking foot on my machine and quilt in the ditch. For me the best part of quilting is choosing the pattern/fabrics and piecing. The quilting process does not interest me. I seldom make a bed size quilt. Making crib/lap quilts allows me to finish a quilt and move on to the next one. This keeps cost down and my fabric goes farther. Pieces

We're out in Franklin County. Approximately 60-75 miles west of St. Louis. I usually don't get on these message boards. But with winter, cabin fever has set in. I thought maybe it would help if I could talk to some other quilters. What kind of quilts do you make? Small/large? Scrap? Good to hear from another "show me state". LOL

I imagine with your long, cold winters you girls up north get a lot of quilting done. :) Pieces
