Hi, from a former Texan. who lived in OK for 51 years. You will become addicted soon enough to this board. It is wonderful for learning new things.

Here is a picture of my Log Cabin quilt top. I plan to quilt it in red thread, just need an idea for a motif.

Welcome and hello from southeastern West Virginia. I've been a hand-quilter for 35 years but just started machine quilting a year ago. When I hand quilt log cabins I either use a quilting template that is a circular star pattern I have OR free hand a curved line from the center corner of log up and back down about a 1/4 inch away. Fan these around the center "fireplace" block in which I do a free hand flower shape. I don't know if I've explained it but it looks nice. I'd try drawing it out on a log cabin block and see what you like. Good luck.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
Your quilt top is gorgeous and I'm anxiously awaiting pics of the finished quilt!! I wish I could offer some help on how to quilt it, but I haven't done a log cabin quilt yet.
