Saying "hi" from down here in Georgia! It's great you have such a family, for it offers great opportunities to make quilts for each of them. The thing about children, they love quilts made just for them, and with the way fabric is designed to day,it can match up to the personalities in so many ways. Have fun with it, and welcome to this wonderful board.

Hi Woodie. I am also new to the board and also from Nebraska-near Omaha. Also married 50 years to Al (will be 51 Feb 27). We have 4 adult kids, 6 grands and 3 great grands. I have made quite a few quilts in my day but would not call myself a real quilter. I make them for fun and when required...like now that a granddaughter is getting married this November. Currently working on a bow tie quilt-2nd one for oldest granddaughter. Made her first about 6 years ago then less than a month later they had a house fire and lost everything-including the new bow tie quilt.
