Hello from the Netherlands
Hello,
I'm a wife, mother and grandmother with a fulltime office job. I like to quilt. I have finished 2 so far, having 2 under my needle right now. One is being hand quilted, as I love the relaxing way of work. The other is in the process of being pieced on my almost 40 years old domestic machine. My average quilt production is one (1) per year. Infected by stories of other quilters who use vintage machines I decided I wanted to have one myself. In short - last weekend I bought a vintage sewing machine, a Singer 28 handcranck very cheap. She needs some repairs and a thourough cleaning. As she is a very basic machine I think I might be able to do it myself. If not, well, than this would be a great learning project. In the process of gathering information on the refurbishment and I stumbled on this board... So here I am :) |
