Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum but I will admit that I have enjoyed reading the posts - it was through the reading that I felt I wanted to join in the fun that this group has. I have been quilting for around 15 years - when time permits - I am still employed full time and at this time I am looking forward to retiring in the next two to three years. Hopefully, at that point time will permit me to do more quilting. Quilting is a wonderful past time - I enjoy hand piecing, applique, hand quilting, with a grandson that has just had his first birthday - fun kid quilts have been a total change from the grown up type quilts.
I look forward to chatting with the group. Have a great day
Sue in PA

Hope I get this posted in the right place----- I am from DuBois - which is about 2 hours from Pittsburgh. Which pretty much puts us in the middle of nowhere---unless I claim Punxsutawney (the home of the famous weather groundhog) as close to home. We are about 25 miled from Punxsutawney. Thanks for the replies to intro message, hope to get to know this great group of fellow quilters.
Sue

Hi 3incollege, Areyou talking about the quilt shop in Tunkannock Pa. It was featured in a quilt magazine (can't remember which one) this summer as one of the ten top quilt shops in the country., I live about 30 miles from there. Don't get down too often but it is a great shop. Marge

We have some nice shops in the area - there was a planned shop hop that included 8 shops - what a great day. Every shop had a different feel and look. We travelled the route on a bus and then there was time for show and tell between shops. By the end of the everything was sooooo funny, and a must have. If you have the opportunity to do something like this by all means try it. After the hop - I now know of more shops that are in the area - ones that I had no idea that existed.
