Hello. I am Lansawlady and have been quilting off and on for the past seven years. When I had to go on disability, that's when it became more of an interest. So I took a class at a local quilt shop and made this quilt. It was a gift for my sister-in-law who was born and raised in Germany and lives there with my brother. She took a quilting class here (in USA) and had too much of a language barrier. So I told her I would make one for her. So if I can figure out how to do this, I'll share a picture of it with you.

As many of you will recognize, this is a log cabin quilt. The thing I love about the log cabin design is that you can make a number of designs with it, depending on how you arrange the blocks. So I'm sure I will be making more!

Welcome to our little corner of the universe! We're glad you're here. :)

Your quilt is lovely. I love log cabins, and I love when purple is combined with yellow in any hue. It's a sure thing every time! Very pretty! :)

Really nice, I think there is something you can do to your computer and change the overall language and your sil could take up quilting. Its always fun tio have a sewing partner  A big welcome to you, where are you from :?: :D

Hi Ruth and everyone,
I live in Orange County California, but originally I am from Portland, Oregon. I had to quit working in 2000 because of a disability and I thught I wuld have more time to sew. Wrong! But I have found that when I get it out, it is very therapeutic. And it is woderful to have some on-line frients to share and learn from.
