Hi all, I stopped over and decided to give it a try.

I'm mom to 6. Ages 30 - 13. I homeschool 2 1/2 (daughter got her GED but isn't done with senior year yet.)

I've been quilting for 17 years. Been very this Christmas making quilts for 5 of my 9 grandchildren.

I like to do swaps and exchanges. Avid fat quarter collector. I also LOVE chicken/roosters and sunflowers.

Can't wait to get to know you all.

Welcome Vicky.

WOW, 6 kids. I have no idea how you find time to quilt! I am the youngest of 6 myself. :-)

Hi Vicki!
I also have been quilting for about the same time as you, though it sounds like you are much more diligent about finishing than I am! I also homeschooled my 3 kids, the oldest one just finished his masters last spring! My husband and I toured New York in July of 2007 and fell in love with the state! We are seriously thinking about relocating. We loved the ruralness (is that a word?) We are in California and there is very little rural area left here. We are somewhat concerned about surviving the winters there. Here we have trouble surviving the long 100 degree summers!

6 kids??? I guess I don't have the excuse of the kids keeping me too busy LOL. Welcome from Indiana!

I do a charm swap each month and Kyiav10 does the FQ exchange & there are doll swaps, private exchanges, block swaps, & lots of tutorials, too. You can check everything out by going to the "Back to home page" link under the title Quilting Board - The Quilter's Message Board under the appropriate titles....the swaps are under classifieds/swaps.

I see that your avatar includes applique. There are many talented people on the board who also love applique.

Before you submit, click on the attach files rectangle in the center below your messge box. You'll be able to walk yourself through it. :D
